31 CFR Part 208 The Bureau of the Fiscal Service is proposing a rule that would eliminate obsolete references, including references to the Electronic Transfer Account, in the regulation that requires electronic delivery of all Federal payments aside from tax payments. In addition, the proposed rule would provide for the disbursement of non-benefit payments, including tax payments, through Treasury-sponsored accounts. The proposed rule would not mandate the electronic delivery of tax payments or affect the Direct Express® program. Action: Notice of Proposed Rulemaking with Request for Comment.
